Story after story from Hudsonville residents of the problems they've worsened instead of improved. I've been deeply troubled about two of them. They have wreaked havoc in situations they were called to help, havoc that has had massive ongoing damage to the well-being and safety of our youth. Time for better leadership, better training, and better resources. I wish I had confidence as a resident that they would help in a time of need.

Many office personnel are pretty worn out from their jobs and you can tell when you call, but the gal who runs the front desk at the Sheriff’s office is pleasant & patient. Please give her a raise for being an awesomely positive face for your office!

On the evening of June 16th, we had an incident in our neighborhood involving a young man who collapsed on the sidewalk. A neighbor called 911, and Officer Travis H was first on the scene. He was calm and very professional - a highly trained medical expert who assessed the young man and called for an ambulance who took the young man to the hospital. Later that evening, Officer Hunter H returned to our neighborhood to gather further information from witnesses, and he too was very polite and professional. I commend the Ottawa County Sheriffs Department for protecting the community with officers who are so very well trained.

Didn't get the deputys name, but he was awesome! I was in a \unique\ situation and he served me nicely, even as a KY resident. Awesome dispatch too! Got my tow truck fast!
