I just started going to Dr. Askin for an stomach issue and he is absolutely wonderful. I was very nervous about going to an GI because I was afraid something was terribly wrong . Dr. Askin is an easy going, positive and optimistic doctor that makes you feel at ease right from the start! He is very knowledgeable, takes the time to talk to you; and has an good sense of humor. I would highly recommend him, as I feel comfortable and trust his judgement going forward on my health.

Dr. Askin is a wonderful doctor .He made me feel relaxed on the two visits I had and went through my history and made decisions that was the best for me. I highly recommend him. In fact, my eye dr. needs to to go for a check up and I told him to go to Dr. Askin.

Just completed my initial visit with Dr. Askin. My previous gastroenterologist retired and I searched for a replacement. I was looking for someone whose medical training and credentials were impeccable, was part of sufficiently large group to provide all services and backups, had lots of good experience but not close to retirement so could establish a long relationship. Dr Matthew Askin fit or exceeded all these criteria. Went to super competitive med school. Dr. Askin took lots of time to go over my long and detailed medical history, asking good leading questions. He went over options for me going forward displaying sensitivity and thoroughness - I was never rushed. I consider myself an educated consumer of medical services: I think I made an excellent choice. I also dealt with three members of his staff by the time I was done. All were pleasant and courteous. I happily award five stars on this review on an interim basis.

We are new to the area. Dr. Askin was recommended to me by our GP. He listened carefully to my situation and performed the necessary procedures. He followed up the next day at 8:00pm, which I thought was impressive. He is brisk but reassuring. The staff is very professional.

The office was run efficiently and the staff was very friendly. Dr. Askin was also very friendly, made a lot of eye contact and showed a significant interest in my issues . He took a thorough history and discuss my problem in detail. Definitely a great physician.
