OK real honest truth. Dr Elangovan was covered by insurance (so obviously his office staff are amazing) I met him and we talked. I didn't say it, but I was scared of losing my job due to my memory issues and asking for ADHD meds. I've been laid off for it plenty of times before. Anyway he was concerned about the drugs I was on and some episodes where I lost consciousness so he took me off some things. Okay, was he my favorite, because he gave me the drugs I asked for? No. But he is my favorite because he cares about my well-being. If you're looking for a drug pusher, move on. He listens to his patients and puts their health first and that is not some guaranteed thing with a psychiatrist.

I highly recommend Dr. Elongovan. I always feel better about my situation after leaving his office. During the pandemic he's offered his patients the option of telemedicine appointments, which I greatly appreciate. I get the impression that my general well-being is a concern of his, which in this day is rare. Seen a few...He's the best!

The doctor takes care of an elderly sibling family member of mine, he is excellent! He has a lot of patience, he provides outstanding care and is very knowledgeable. We were very lucky to find such a good provider so close to our home and so easy to communicate with.

Dr. Elangovan is a wonderful psychiatrist. He understands the need of his patients, listens to them and works together to make a plan in the road to wellness. I highly recommend him. He is worth the 45 min car ride..

Very poor experience. Challenging to get refills for medication and most appointments are crammed into the one night the office is open, typically resulting in an hour wait time after your appointment time to be seen. Although well intentioned, Dr. Elangovan will also engage in a form of pseudo talk therapy that can be insensitive and misguided. Dr. Elangovan’s form of medication management also requires monthly appointments that last around ten minutes, consisting of the aforementioned pseudo talk therapy and an extremely brief check in. Despite these appointments being so cursory, if you must miss an appointment or cannot come in to the office, then you will be without a refill. This resulted in me being without medication for a period of time that could be considered clinically irresponsible. This is an uncommon practice in psychiatry when the medication routine has already been established for an extended period of time. Presumably, this practice allows more appointments and concomitantly more pay. I strongly do not recommend unless you cannot find any other provider in your network.
