Attended a wedding reception here but have known the venue very well for decades. It's a beautiful place for a wedding: picturesque and private. The main house has been restored beautifully, as has the orangery where weddings can be held. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We stayed the night in one of the converted out-buildings and the room was immaculately clean, comfortable and warm. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a wedding venue. Everyone felt relaxed and unhurried the morning after, even with the strict departure time which is in force to guarantee exclusivity to each party.
Absolutely beautiful venue with the church no more than a 2 minute walk. Parking available and wedding guests stayed at the venue. I was very jealous that I couldn't stay as it was so pretty. Slightly hairy drive through the countryside but in all not too bad roads. Deer on sight and amazing.
We had our wedding reception here and were so happy. We have visited a couple times since and everything is just as we remembered it. Great views over the gardens towards the sea, an Orangery for ceremonies and a few walks around the grounds will keep any guests busy.
There are not enough words to say how amazing this place is! If you book your wedding here you absolutely will not be disappointed, it's stunning. The staff are all friendly and lovely, the rooms are huge and immaculate and the food is delicious. The wedding itself was (I don't use this word lightly) magical, it really was! The orangery, where the ceremony was held, is a lovely space; opening out onto steps down to a fountain with chairs and tables nearby. I didn't take many pictures, but the ones I have published on here simply don't do the place justice. As we arrived, a herd of deer were running across the grounds, and when I opened the shutters on waking in the morning a deer was walking across the lawn! The staff are extremely nice, pleasant and friendly and all work extremely hard to make each wedding a wonderful, memorable experience.
