We used Boston Tutoring Center for ISEE prep. My daughter worked with Rena Tobias who was an excellent tutor—she was very knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cared about my daughter’s success. Thanks to BTC my daughter got accepted into Boston Latin School and two top private schools in the Boston area. We were thrilled with the results and can’t say enough good things about Boston Tutoring Center. The owner, Anne Yount, takes great care of her clients. She guided us throughout the entire process — she was crystal clear about expectations and kept us informed on a weekly basis about our daughter’s progress. She always made sure we understand what it takes to get into a good exam school and managed to keep our daughter engaged and interested in learning. We are already looking forward to working with Anne and her team again for SAT prep. Boston Tutoring Center is an excellent center and we highly recommend it to anyone who’d like to get into a highly desirable exam school. They truly care about the success of their students!

Boston Tutoring Center helped both my sons for ISEE preparation and consulting services. My sons' scores increased after the preparation and both were admitted to a top private school. Anne and her team is excellent. Anne is honest with you and is very helpful in the process. I appreciate her and her team's help!
Their SAT prep program is literally a scam for the price they are asking. All they do is assign exercises from the College Board SAT test example book and give vocab quizzes for the sole purpose of looking \good\ to the parents when their child would \improve\ from them. Although assigning examples of SAT questions would've been a good approach to prepare for the exams, the tutor simply did not teach how to do the problem. The tutor I had, Rena Tobias, was not able to teach either the topics on the exam or even simple strategies for the problems on the test. Instead, what she would actually do is just tell you the answer of the problem and continue on with her \teaching\. For an analogy for her teaching, if you were given the problem \22\, she would just give you the answer \4\ with no explanation of how she got the answer at all. This program is literally a waste of time and you could find better alternatives that are cheaper and effective for the SAT like Khan Academy or Tigerway.
My daughter had a wonderful tutor. The curriculum was well planned out. As a result, her scores were out of this world.
