Lovely club. Well equipment fitness centre and overall facilities and entertainment. Chinese restaurant could do better, poor service from rude non English speaking staff who don't make any effort to make your stay a memorable one.
It's a club, a nice club with many facilities. I'm not from the area, I go there for events & special occasions. It's always a pleasant place to visit.
Great place for people who want to keep their body and minds engaged with Exercise classes at the Fitness Edge basement area, yum cha at Hawk's Nest and Bingo in the Auditorium. There's even Line Dancing for Absolute Beginners and Beginners during the day. People are generally kind and patient to the older clientele.
Food at Bistro and coffeeshop is terrible, asked for a Pat Thai which was on the menu, got some sweet, strange looking noodles like. Looks like the restaurant puts items on their menu without knowing how to cook nor having the ingredient. A young Asian looking person goes around tried to fix the issue, got me a different type of noodles, was worse than the first one, simple notion, if you can't cook the item on the menu don't list it otherwise you are scamming decent clientele.
I'm reviewing the Chinese restaurant only. Not recommended as the customer service was terrible, they treated you as a dog. Due to the Vivid, they only allow you 60 minutes to seat in there without considering how slow the waiting time for the food. Staff were not polite even you request to fill out a empty bottle. DON'T GO THERE!!
I must write in response to the post by Suzan - I don't normally look at Google reviews but I saw this post and felt I must respond. I was actually in the club that day and saw that you were sitting in the area marked "no under 18's permitted in this area". The lady from reception, I think her name is Karen, lovely lady, politely told you that under club rules etc you were not allowed to be sitting there with people under 18. As I was leaving the club a number of staff were being berated by yourself. I have always found the staff at RELC nothing but kind, courteous and professional every time I have been to the club. And thank you for the response - dare I say a spell check before you post :)
