This place is very professional and helpful. Everyone there was a delight and truly cared about the animals they help. Plus it's no-kill, which is a major bonus! You can see the animals online to see if there is one you'd like. Then schedule a meeting to greet and meet your potential little family member. It's quite effective. We just took home our new family member and we could not be happier! Thank you West Valley Humane Society!

Alexis was sooooo helpful. I found a cat who was pregnant and everybody was so nice to help, called, kept me updated. Now, Woody is recovering and we hope she will adjust to my other indoor cats. So far so good. But everybody was so understanding and friendly. Thank you. Regina

Kari was AWESOME! We went in for an old yellow lab stray that they had and she took awesome care of us. Absolutely above and beyond.

We found an amazing black lab named Daisy that we adopted out. If you are looking for a forever pet West Valley may have the pet for you. However, I wouldn't put your hopes up to high for them to help you after the 2 week trial period, even if it's a special circumstance. 4 weeks after we adopted out this dog, my boyfriend had to rush her to the emergency vet because she wasn't acting normal. Turns out there was a mass of infection internally. We had a follow up 1 week after and the mass was growing in size and she would need surgery. My boyfriend told me he called the humane society twice and left a message and they never called him back. I called and got a lady at the front desk. I explained the situation to her stating we adopted the dog about 5 weeks ago and while I knew the trail period was up I was hoping they could help us out. The dog had an infection from the spay the humane society did prior to us adopting her. She was on day 10 of recovery from the spay when we did adopt her. The lady at the front desk told me there wasn't anything they could do because the dog is solely in our care and nothing was noticed from the physical exam she had. Her best answer for me was I could try IHS and see if we qualified for the income veterinarian services. She hastily wanted to get off the phone with me too. My boyfriend and I were frustrated. The spay is something they did prior to us adopting her. There was no way we knew there was something wrong with her because it was an internal mass that you couldn't see. Him and I finally found a vet within our budget and they got her in for the surgery but unfortunately she passed away after the surgery. She lived a great 6 1/2 weeks after her adoption with us plus our other dog and cat. We just wished we had more time with her. Edit: you can't find my name in your records because my boyfriend was the one who adopted the dog out.
