This place was awesome with good service. The food was fine. But given corona times, was clean and nicely kept.
There seems to be a little confusion on the Internet about whether this place is open or not. Yes, it is open Wed thru Sun, in the evenings. We were there for dinner and drinks on May 29 and had a great time. You can sit outside and soak in the magnificent views of the lake, but we sat inside near the bar. The locals that staff and patronize the place are a very friendly, welcoming bunch. Tahni, the 2nd generation owner sat right there at the bar and the atmosphere was quite colorful and entertaining. The food is mostly pub grub and is both good and plentiful. The local brews on tap are excellent, I especially liked the dark Scotch Ale. Credit card payments carry a small surcharge, but they also accept debit cards and they do not carry the surcharge. My wife is very sensetive to tobacco smoke and the place was not smoky at all.
Ok. I went there after several recommendations from the locals. I was not disappointed. They serve a nice lunch variety and of course drinks. But the place was reccomend most for its decor. You just have to experience it for yourself. I need not say more. And next time I go....I am taking a Clemson cap for their wall.
I live 15 miles away and it took me eight years to get out there. I will be back this month if not this week. If you only have one chance to visit this area there is a few decades of memories covering every inch of the place, from the locals to worldwide. It is a museum with a great menu selection and a bar. Crazy busy at times but, that gives you time to relax. That's why you're on vacation.
Great spot to stop for a cold beverage or a meal. Awesome view of the lake!
Great 1/2 lb garlic burger on freshly baked French Bread--packed half for dinner later. Our server was so pleasant and helpful despite being spread a little thin. Great experience!
