My experience with my sweet mom that had dementia. Entered this facility 2 1/2 years ago. From the day she enter the facility I found there was lack of care and compassion. Mom suffered broken teeth, broken nose, numerous bruises and hospital visits that could’ve been prevented if people were watching her... The infection that I brought to their attention two weeks ago was probably an ongoing UTI that was let go far too long. By the time she was taken to the hospital by my request she also had pneumonia. Uncompassionate administrators, social workers. The new floor nurses seemed to care , but the head staff not so They cleared her room out without contacting me on Saturday , day she died. Obviouslyi was at the hospital with her. I went in the next day Sunday, ( yesterday) to start getting her possessions. Walked into an empty room. The nurses said the paperwork work noted the family gave permission to empty the room. I am the only family she had. I asked for the written consent. There is None. When interviewing with this faculty to get your loved one in you’ll feel very welcomed and be shown the best of environments. Upstairs in dementia unit was dirty, residents in their rooms were mostly unattended. I found my mom sitting in feces and unwashed many times in her room alone Go somewhere else if you care for your loved one I have attached pictures on this review of mom’s injuries

My mom was a resident there. She turned 95 and the next night she had an unsupervised fall. She was legally blind with dementia. A nurse called me and said she had a fall so they were sending her to the hospital. It didn't sound serious. I was without a car and living in Warwick. The next morning when I arrived I was shocked on how I found my mom. On top of all this she was on cumidine and her count was 7 times higher than normal. Neglect was what the nurse told me. She died from injuries from the fall a week later.
