Unfortunately, my first visit to this doctor's office was not pleasant. The receptionist was very very rude and disrespectful and told me to leave for asking what was going on. They kept me sitting there and it passed my appointment time. I had to ask her what was going on because I was there few minutes ahead of my appointment and my name wasn't called. She got so irritated and closed the window at me while I was talking to her and I had to hold the window without touching her hand because she understimated me and called me very very rude and disrespectful and I have to leave the office. Anyway, make the story short, the doctor came at the waiting area and was like "what happened?" Even though, I had explained what happened and the doctor apologized to me but the so called receptionist refused to apologise. She lied when the doctor asked her the side of her story saying "I touched her hand", which I never did and had no point of touching her. The doctor said nothing like happened in my office and this the first time something like this happened. She got away with it but if she is not stopped she will keep doing it again and again. People don't come to open doors but they definitely come to open faces, which means treating people equally with respect no matter what color or religion they have. I have nothing against the doctor and was nice but never going back!!!

I first met Dr. Kharat when I was in Saint Ann's Hospital. She came in on a Sunday evening - which is something I have never seen another doctor do! When she came into my room she was already aware of EVERYTHING in regards to my health issues. What I appreciated most about Dr. Kharat was she explained everything to me in terms I could understand. She didn't sugarcoat anything either. If there was something I was doing wrong - she jumped in and said to stop and why - which I also appreciated!! I was supposed to call her office for a follow up after I got out of the hospital - but day to day stuff kept getting in the way. Dr. Kharat's office called me and nor only scheduled my appointment, but asked how I was feeling. I went over how I was feeling and Shannan went over everything with Dr. Kharat then called me back. Dr. Kharat had me go to get some bloodwork to make sure I was doing OK. Which I thought was great! Most doctors would just wait till they saw you in the office! When I did get to Dr. Kharat's office she once again knew everything about me. She went over test results from the hospital and all the bloodwork she had ordered after I got released. Again, she explained everything and was very detailed. Dr. Kharat's office was a 30 minute drive for me - but if I can drive a hour to go shopping at the Outlet Mall - I can drive 30 minutes to see an AMAZING doctor!!! Thank you Dr. Kharat for being part of the team that is saving my life!!!

The receptionist was very rude, she said that she had called me over 10 times and assumed i was not coming so she cancelled my appointment. I never got a voicemail or anything and i'm very good about getting back with people. I even confirmed the appointment a week before. She then scheduled another appointment a month away from today.
