My daughter has attended MLDC for 5 years. Over the 5 years, our experience with the staff, the location, and the variety of activities has been consistently outstanding. MLDC creates a genuine sense of community and belonging for the campers that allows them to relax and truly enjoy the summer. Campers approach each day with new excitement because there is always a variety of fun activities and the campers are given a great deal of flexibility and control in choosing what to do each day. The specialty camps such as adventure, cooking, wood working, etc. add even more choices. The camp has offered my daughter a place to return to year after year. There is something for every age group, so she has not grown out of this camp even now that she is an adolescent. We also use the extended day, morning and afternoon, and this is a part of the day my daughter actually looks forward to. Even after a long day, the staff are still engaged and having fun with the kids.

MLDC has been home-away-from-home- for my two kids for many years - 10 years for my son, and 8 for my daughter. They've always enjoyed the wide range of activities that are available to choose from (Junior Discovery Camp when they were younger, and now -Teen Exploration). They typically attend 7 or 8 weeks of the summer each year, and have yet to come home and tell me they were bored. I really like that they can choose their activities on any given day and don't have to repeat activities unless they want to! The camp is very well-run and staffed by attentive, caring people (many of whom return year after year as well) who do their best to ensure each camper enjoys him or herself every day. The location is wonderful for us, and very convenient because of the busing structure MLDC has developed. They have come to know and develop strong friendships with many returning campers; they're fond of many of the returning staff members too. :) It's a great camp, and I could not recommend it more highly!

This is our go-to summer camp. They jam pack the day with activities that make the time fly for the kids. My daughters favorites were the zipline (that lands in the lake), ropes course (same one Westford 5th grade camp uses), Cooking camp, Woodworking camp and tennis camp. Truly unique activities for each age range. This summer my kid will be able to design her own camp and is trying out a week of watersports (tubing and boating on Heart Pond in Chelmsford).
