Who We Are: We believe that true life transformation is not only possible but promised in the redeeming power found in Jesus Christ. And the Truth is that even in the wake of the destruction and despair of addiction, nothing is too hard for God, and each person, created in the image of God, is the object of His extravagant love. What We Believe The Westminster Rescue Mission exists to advance the Kingdom of God by proclaiming God’s Word and by partnering with local churches, businesses, social service organizations, caring supporters and volunteers in order to provide ministries of relief, rescue and other services for individuals and families in need. What We Do: Since 1968, the Westminster Rescue Mission has met the tangible needs of a combined millions with the truth of the Gospel– for all those burdened by the weight of addiction or unable to make ends meet for dinner tonight. Annually, 75 men are served in our long-term, faith-based, residential recovery program. The Mission's on-site food pantry, the Sparrow’s Nest serves close to 700 unduplicated households monthly. Through the Mission's food redistribution program over 1 million pounds of food annually is collected and provided to area churches and in-school food pantries, soup kitchens, senior centers and others to help meet the needs of the ‘unseen, unheard’ in our communities.

This place should is as unprofessional as it comes...in it to make money off free labor...fake men of God...they have a board of directors who are in this to make their pockets fat...do not send your loved ones there...this place is bogus...there are much better places in the surrounding area...this place is phony

Went there with my aunt. She wanted to purchase a small greenery arrangement. The price on the bottom of it was 2.00, however when we got to the register she was charged 8 00. The lady at the register said the price on the bottom of arrangement was from a yard sale.i believe the whole store is overpriced.

The Westminster Rescue Mission does genuinely try to help the community. It seems to me that they would function better if more people from the community would step up and help them. I highly recommend volunteering there and getting to know the men and the staff there. You could be the one to fix what's wrong. Are you their next volunteer?

Most unprofessional and hypocritical organization. The long and short was that I had a large quantity of merchandise to donate and a tight time frame so I gave myself plenty of time. I called on Wed Jan.13 to set the appointment for Friday morning Jan.22,2016. It took the driver 3 days to call back. He confirmed that he would be here probably before 10 am because his first stop was also in the area. That Friday was the day that it was to start snowing but not till 4 or 5 pm. At 9:10 AM I received a call from Lee the driver that they were not going to be sending trucks on the road that day because of weather. I was livid. I had 1/3 of a basement full of high quality merchandise to donate and had to be out of my house by Monday and had a blizzard approaching that would make it impossible for any other day or organization to come and get. The explanation by Lee was it was due to the weather and there was nothing he could due about it. I was extremely upset and let him know it. Trying to blame it on the approaching weather was BS and I knew it. So I call back and spoke to a Mgr the store and was told that wasn't the case and he saw the truck on the service bay rack and that it had broken down the night before. I WAS LIED TO. EVEN THOUGHT THE RESULT WAS THE SAME. i express my frustration to him also and told him to let his bosses know they lost over 4000 in donations and I would spread the word about my experience with them. I the called a friend who had a trailer and we loaded up the stuff and took it to the Goodwill Store and they were very happy.

The Thrift Barn is nothing but a antique mall shop with outrageous prices on items that would almost never command that price. If you want to buy things at ebay prices, drop in and check it out. Maybe the cashier will even look the items you want up on ebay while you stand there. It's a shame to say but if your looking for your donations to actually help people in the community, you should donate to the Goodwill on 140/Englar Rd.

Thrift store prices are on par with other thrift stores. It helps pay for their men's long term residential Christian recovery program serving the community.
