Overall my wife and I had a good experience with Centura's OB/GYN department. However, our experience with Dr. Mullin within this group was absolutely dreadful. Her bedside manner was lacking and she was quite dismissive of our questions and concerns. My wife and I are both RNs and we have worked alongside many physicians, and I can confidently declare that I've never experienced a greater distrust in a physician than I do her. Another provider within the practice advised my wife to check her blood sugar levels as my wife's 4-hour glucose tolerance test was borderline positive. Upon the next visit, Dr. Mullin was completely disinterested in hearing my wife's blood glucose log--to the point that she actually laughed at the thought of looking at it and repeatedly made comments that she didn't know why she was even checking. Fast forward to the next visit where we saw another physician within the group, who took the time to review her log and ultimately diagnosed her with gestational diabetes and started her on insulin therapy. If it were not for the fact that my wife and I were persistent on continuing the log against Dr. Mullin's orders, her gestational diabetes could have went untreated. This could have resulted in harm to not only my wife, but also harm to our unborn son. At an additional follow up that my wife had and Dr. Mullin was the covering MD, she adjusted my wife's insulin therapy against the previous physician's orders. Given our distrust with Dr. Mullin we continued the previous physician's orders, which was ultimately the appropriate dosing. Unfortunately I could continue, however, I felt this was the most important example to display regarding this physician. Would likely use this group again in the future, but would be adamant that Dr. Mullin is not involved in my wife's care.

I've been seeing Dr.Mullin for several years as my gyn. She is kind, patient, and knowledgable. She respects and is helpful with the issues of a boomer aged patient. Highly recommend.

Im sorry, Celesta, that your experience was so poor, but the fact that you're advocating people do research by watching YouTube videos speaks volumes about your intellect. Clearly you are a disservice to your child and Dr. Mullen, who is highly educated and an expert in her field was advocating for your daughter. She's an excellent practitioner!

Dr. Mullin is a phenomenal obstetrician whose level of care far surpassed my expectations! She made me feel at ease throughout my entire pregnancy by taking the time to thoroughly answer my overwhelming amount of questions. I never received the impression that she was rushed! She made sure I was well-informed and always explained my options (genetic screenings, ultrasounds, group B strep, glucose, etc). When my car was stolen the day before one of my appointments, she sat with me and listened as I cried. She fostered an open dialogue and genuinely respected my birth plan. She also has a beautiful personality and I love that she shared small snippets of her life with my husband and me. I look forward to my second pregnancy :) My highest regard and recommendation! Thank you for doing such a wonderful job!

It was my first pap smear and trans vag ultra sound. She was very fast paced, didn't explain what was happening, and was forceful and hurt. She kept telling me to relax but I couldn't because it was very uncomfortable. She didn't seem to like that we were new coming parents and wanted to ask questions, everything we asked was a waste of time. We hardly got to hear the baby's heart beat and every question we asked was never answered. We asked about genetic testing and it was not explained enough to be comprehensible. At the beginning of the appointment she seemed to be pissed about my mother coming in a little late for the ultrasound, she was not friendly, and was rude when I asked a simple question about how long she'd been doing her practice.
