Based in Fairfield County, CT, In-Vets, currently working with Homes For The Brave, Bridgeport, CT, focuses on helping in-need veterans find employment. Unlike other job portals, In-Vets is specifically designed to address real barriers to veteran employment: technological expertise and transportation. HOW DID IN-VETS START? While on vacation in San Francisco, Sudhanshu Mathur (In-Vets Founder) met Mick, a beggar with the sign “poor US veteran would like food, money, anything” in his aged hands. Mick’s good spirits, despite injuries and loneliness, empowered Sudhanshu to help veterans - in any way he could. Through extensive research and work with Homes For The Brave, Sudhanshu developed In-Vets: an effective system to guide in-need veterans to stable, healthy, jobs. HOW CAN YOU HELP? 1. Sign our Change.org petition to create a federally-run database of veteran profiles that will act as a ‘one-stop shop’ for employers to employ deserving veterans. Signing our petition indicates not only your support for empowering veterans, but also your determined action to bring about change for them. 2. Employ ideal veterans, and change their lives by giving them, those who once defended businesses, a chance to bounce back.
