This is our go-to for produce! The fruits and veggies are always fresh with great seasonal selection. The deli counter has fantastic options if you're just hungry for a quick sandwich as well as need a last minute family dinner option.

The produce is good. The meats are good. Sushi is just ok- has a weird taste to it. However, the giant pile of nuts/pretzels, etc. in the front entrance are really bad. On more than one occasion, I've had mold all over them, and the most recent event, which stopped me going there altogether, I opened up a container of in store packaged honey roasted peanuts, without looking grabbed a few nuts and popped them in my mouth. I looked down and noticed that something was moving towards the bottom.. I shook the container, opened it up, and there were maggots all over them. The maggots were huge and there was like silk type material like a cocoon or something, so they'd clearly been there a while. I looked a the date on the package, they had been done 3 months ago. I was really grossed out.. and started throwing up. I called to mention it.. they wanted me to bring the container in, and exchange it. I didn't want to exchange it... I didn't know what I wanted in that moment other than to scrub my mouth out. I felt betrayed by a place I've been frequenting for years. They seemed like it was no big deal.. that apparently they deal with this regularly. I like the guys who work there behind the counter, but I'll never get anything except prepackaged sealed foods, chips, things like that. I walked in there yesterday, and the smell at the front was once again overbearing like moldy, mildew rotten food. It brought back memories of the peanuts.. and I just left.

This place is the best. Their breakfast and lunch sandwiches are the best in town hands down, I drive 30 miles just for them.

The owner should not be working at the register. He never, ever says hello, thank you or anything. He is mean and makes you feel like your business is not appreciated. I don't like being intimidated where I spend my money!!!
