My family lived here for a year and 5 months. We moved out because we were all incredibly sick from the pesticides that get sprayed by the Crop dusting plane in the backyard of this complex!!! It was a very nice place, no storage and the place was built cheaply and too fast causing many problems with pipes and foundation. We made sure that the carpets were cleaned and the place looked better then when we moved in and we were still charged 400 for a cleaning deposit! The manager here is very unprofessional and her maintenance guy is just as bad. I surely missed Jessie when he left, but I'm sure he moved on to something better! Save yourself and dont move in here!!!

The manager is horrible, my parents lived there and plenty of other family memebers and life long friends. It was once a very peaceful community untill the new manager started. I would visit my parents from time to time and she didnt not like the fact i visited my parents!!! She told them i needed to sign in and out just in order to visit them!! What a load of bull she knows nothing and is so rude! She also made sure i never slept over at thier place, and would litterly watch when i visited. My parents never caused any trouble or drama. She really likes to nit-pick at people when she had the chance. During that time me and my husband started out our lives and we decided to apply there, why not, i love wheatland. I grew up there. But when she questioned us about our income she laughed in our face when i stated i am only going to college only at the time, only my husband worked during that time. She laughed. who does that!? They honestly need to find someone that knows how to do there job, respects others, and isnt power hungry. She takes advantage of her power!!! She is the only Con of this place!

Sunset Valley Duplexes are nice, clean and small. I moved in about a year ago after they were remodeled, everything was fine until a few moths in I found out that the maintenance man was let go who was great by the way, then about four residence moved out back to back, I wounder why? The manager is uneducated, disrespectful and rude. She has no respect for no one, she came in to my unit calling herself doing an inspection and pointing things out that has nothing to do with what she said she is told to do telling me what I need to do and how it needs to be done. Yes it's housing but we still pay rent and we don't deserve to be treated like we are living in someone else's home.

DO NOT MOVE HERE! VERY RUDE AND UNEDUCATED MANAGER. Treats many unfairly and stereotype people BIG TIME. Wants neighbors to turn on each other after hours...They added a "no smoking" near the property and wants neighbors to tell on each other if they see someone "Breaking the rule", and she encourages everyone to "tell on each other". Makes living here very hostile and an unfriendly vibe. The stress you will get form her will make you extremely ill. Others seek medical attention because of her. Gives notices for everything. Expect a ton of them! Out of all the years I've lived here, never once I met a manager who is ill-mannered. she is seriously on a power trip. Tells you how to clean your rented space. I would not call it a home. No where does it say Homework assignments on the floor in a living room and a sewing machine for a project taking up 5% of the living space, considered clutter, when its the "your stuff" you are "currently" working on. Tells you to clean it up. This definitely is not a part of the "household rules." You will have endless inspections and repairs takes weeks to be done and when asked about it, a lot of excuses given. If you are not present while an inspection she will go through your personal stuff. This is NOT a part of the inspection mind you. She will also look into your car while she walks by it. She literally stop and did so. I've seen her do it. If you were to ask the people living here. They will tell you what they think. I don't know how this place is a part of "Fair Housing" and "Mercy". I have been told many people have complained about her but fell on deaf ears. If they were to do a survey, many people would agree to my above statements.

i WOULD NOT! recommend this place to anyone, given the fact that living there would be the same as a prison. endless paper notices and inspections where the manager comes in your home and tells you how to live. cant have this and that, she even try to tell us to organize the refrigerator. The manager for one, is uneducated(dont know how she got her job) and treats the tenants unfairly, because i have talked to a few people that resides there, and said its like living in prison.and are planning to look elswhere.

Pro’s The community is very quiet and so far crime free. The units are small but clean, new and very affordable; in fact that is the best feature. The community is diverse, but coming from east DC, very friendly. Con’s No yard or garage is hard to do without. No storage, property manager will not allow any type of outside storage to be built. Maintenance problems are very slow to be resolved, if you need something your on your own. When we moved in, in December, we were promised free Wi-Fi, never happened. No inside unit clothes washer, make sure you save your quarters. Never ending door notices, saying do this or do that, or you can be evicted. Wheatland has very little shopping or restaurants, one bank and one ATM.
