I went early in the morning looking for seeds for spring planting not much left due to everyone getting into gardening. But I was impressed by their covid measures.

What an awful service! I can’t believe they just racially profiled me when I was returning a defective item with my 2 kids because I am a man of color. Around 4:40pm I walked into the store and immediately asked the first rep I saw where I could return my defective item. The gentleman pointed to the regular checkout line. I went there and when it was my turn the cashier said to me I needed to go to the return section and actually walked me there. I also waited patiently in line there with my 2 kids. When it was finally my turn the cashier inspected the product, checked my receipt and went inside the office after talking to someone. Then they went into the office and she took over 5 minutes to come back. Didn’t say anything and went back inside for another 4 minutes and finally came out. When I asked her why it’s taking too long she finally said “we needed to check the cameras to ensure you came in with the product” literally suggesting I may have stolen the product with my kids. This is awful and has got to stop. I am calling on all BLM and Allies and all sympathizers to denounce this bahavior and possibly boycott Canadian Tire.
