Dr. Nickels has previously been one of the most competent and trustworthy vets in the area and we were very happy when he opened his own practice, but the unprofessionalism of his office manager and the employees she has hired has absolutely ruined this location. I highly recommend you seek out a different animal hospital with a professional staff. 1) After the tech told my mother she needed to rush her dog to Syracuse for an emergency visit, she replied by asking the tech if \Dr. Nickels was there?\ And they then accused my mother of accusing the hospital of practicing fraudulent medicine and kicked her out or the practice. When you are telling someone, their dog needs an emergency visit to a specialist, you answer their questions, no matter what they are. You also realize they are just questions and your patients do not know the laws covering veterinary medicine. 2) On multiple occasions the staff has messed up billing and then harassed my mother for payment instead of simply calling, explaining the situation, apologizing for the mistake, and asking for a credit card number. Again, unprofessional. 3) They have billed for services not provided and failed to inform on test results. 4) Finally, less pressing but still valid, their answering machine message is insanely long, I'd hate having to call it in an emergency. No matter who you are, it is only a matter of time until you experience unprofessional service that jeopardizes your pet’s health. Find another vet. Also, based on their other replies, I have received service here as well as my parents and we are not the rude ones, based on years of seeing Dr. Nickel’s without issue, until his office manager took over. Further, the question about him being there is valid as they have told us they do tech visits while he makes house calls.

Best ever!! Kim and her husband will always be my fur babys doctor. They will even put your baby down in the comfort of there own home. Pets home. They really go above and beyond you make sure your fur babys are well took and care of. If they need surgery they will even take photos and send you updates. There prices nobody can beat! Thank you for always being there!

Not happy with his service we are switching vets and he will not fill our dogs anxiety meds. We have to wait till new vet can see him. Very unethical. In response to owner. First it's my daughter. But. She thought she was give the proper amount after being told she could up dose to two pill if one was not working. Rather than changing the script she used the script her other dog did not need. Was this wrong yes but an honest mistake. Something that could have been discussed if anyone there bothered to speak to her first. Instead you accuse her of deceiving you. And to drop care without providing needed meds is unethical. We will also be removing our animals from your care. Hope others don't have to go through this. And do wish your business success

Beware! Having the audacity to ask questions apparently disqualifies one from receiving care. We had been taking our dog's to Dr Nickle for several years. We were happy with the doctor and the care. We recently took our dog for a physical. What we were told was inconsistent with what we had been told in the past, so my wife called and talked to the vet tech. We then received a letter stating they were dropping our dog as a patient. No discussion. No warning. The office staff has been rude and unprofessional and seems to have no idea what the term \customer service\ means. They refuse to give an explanation and refuse to let us talk to the doctor. Response to owners response No disrespect was intended and we certainly don't believe any was given. Obviously there has been some kind of misunderstanding. At first I was very angry by your response and then I was saddened. Saddened that you deemed the best course of action was to lash out and punish us rather than contacting us to discuss it. Saddened that you decided to do it through an impersonal form letter. Saddened that you rebuffed all our attempts to contact you to discuss it. This could have been easily resolved. I hope you can see that you showed us a lot more disrespect than that which your vet tech thought she got. Please consider these things in the future as you deal with other customers.
