One of the most beautiful museums I visited so far. I found the concept of presenting the logging history mesmerizing! A nice trail will walk you through the history of generations and how things improved over the years. I would definitely recommend visiting this place if you are visiting Algonquin provincial park. The museum is near to the east gate of the park.

A great walk in history. One of the places that you cannot experience "online" I highly recommend you and those who have children bring them here and see how this country was built. Lots of truly exceptional examples of the real life our ancestors lived logging in the great wilderness of Algonquin. The tour can be taken entirely outside, you don't need to go into the indoor museum to view this experience
The logging museum is definitely worth a visit if you're spending some time in Algonquin park. There's a great little "hike" through the exhibit which is very easy to do for just about any age or skill level. It gives you a fantastic view into what the logging industry used to look like before machinery and technology became what it is today. Definitely makes you appreciate the hard work and loving conditions that the early loggers had to cope with.
Incredible museum. The collection of old tools and machines is absolutely incredible. The guide book is 100% worth the 2 donation. If you enjoy reading and learning about technology and machines, you can easily spent two or three hours learning about how logging shaped Algonquin Park and Canada.
The cabin itself is small with just a room full of books. The real fun starts outside the building. A 1.3 km trail that goes next to a serene lake, and is peppered with information, model cabins, tools and vehicles. These have been in use since 1830 all the way to modern times, as you go through numbered spots. You just need a regular pass or vehicle pass which you get from the information centre. They close the building sharp at 5.
Nice trail , educational also, I enjoy the history of Canada and what made our country.
Originally visited in 2007 with family, and returned this year (2019) as with friends who had not visited before. Excellent and interactive museum, mostly outside so be prepared if raining! Such a lovely and picturesque setting! Definitely worth a visit!
Great place to go if you enjoy history and willing to know the life of earlier loggers. A very nice 1 hour tour.
