I walked in here a month ago and in 10 minutes decided this is where my grandma needed to be. It's a small location which actually adds to the charm. You can drive by it and never realize it was there and I found it when my referral guy told me about it. The director was super sweet and toured me around. She showed me the rooms she had available, explained what I needed to get signed, and it was clear why there were only 2 spots available. Call them before coming through because she clearly had other people waiting for rooms. It figures that you can tell a lot by a community like this by how many spots are free. Staff are super nice, it smelt clean, and I'm excited to have grandma in a boutique spot close to me in Whittier.

This is were you take your loved one to die. That will be the outcome because of the care that is given there. The price was right but you get what you pay for. Not enough nurses/real nurses, awful food and laundry done in the same machines(poop left on Clothes/blankets washed and dried on). My mother got bed sores because they didn’t do what they were supposed to do. They got so bad(bad sores) they told me she had to leave, they couldn’t (take my money anymore) take care of here anymore. I moved her and a week later she passed away. The whole time she was there they kept over charging me every month. They kept saying they would fix it, but they never did. The price may be right, but it’s not worth the heartbreaking pain after your loved one is gone.
I lived ar this home for 6 years, the last 2 years were horrible. The management does not care for the residents. Housekeeping and laundry is very bad. Many times there is NO housekeeper, bedding lacks clean Changes, or bathroom real cleanings. Laundry is done carelessly. I feel sorry for those still living there. Maria Hernandez
Staff director was nice during the consultation and renting the room. But as days go on her nice attitude changes kind of snobby. Food is terrible where my mom skips meals a lot. But speaking to other tenents also complaing about the awful food. Have to contantly be complaing about her medications not given to her. A big regret for all the money she pays monthly. Some staff pretty nice but some not so much. The halls snell like dried urine. Wish we have looked at a few other places before we picked this place. It might look nice on your visit but after your family member been there for a bit you see how different staff can be. My mother lasted 7 months and passed on. She lost so much weight and I hated myself for putting her in this place. I always thought she just complained to much. After she passed I realized how I should have listen to her complaints and get her out of there.
A one star because they have a roof over their head. The place smells like Urine whether your in the Rec Room hallways etc that needs to be addressed sanitary conditions need to be first along with care. Seems the attitude there is kinda laissez faire, seems they don't care at all. I come to visit a client every so often and they seem like they don't really care about their job and the people they care for.
