Despite the Covid-19 break out along with the shut down I found my case workers to be polite, friendly and eager to help. When I talked with Marie Gonzales she was good about keeping in contact and answering my questions. When I found a place in a different area code my case worker Marie explained what would happen and sent my paper work to the new case worker Virginia Zapato. Ms Zapato was also very nice and pleasant and helped me understand what to do. Over all, I found every one to be very helpful, very nice and willing to listen and explain things when needed. The ONLY reason I did not give 5 stars was the Covid-19 made the process a tad grueling and inconvenient but other than that all was good

I desperately need housing assistance and I don't know if I'll even bother reading these reviews. To be honest, the city needs to take these reviews in consideration, and make changes immediately...

Rude. Mean. Awful people including a female inspector that came to inspect my bf's apartment twice. Once last year and again this year. Oh and they didn't even bother to tell him he had a voucher until he had a month left to find a new place back in late 2013.

My pregnant girlfriend and I ported our housing voucher to Wichita from Oregon so we could be near family. It was a huge mistake and our supposed case worker, whose information I have considered including here, lied to us and caused us to lose our vouchers and any possibility of assistance, but it was obvious the whole time that she didn't think we needed help because we're white. We were definitely discriminated against because of our skin color. I have never seen any other white people there, including in the orientation with all the other people who had vouchers, and they were extremely rude to us and only us. It couldn't have been a worse and more different experience than Oregon. There definitely needs to be an investigation into this corrupt office.
