So much fun! The kids play area has a slide, flight simulators, puzzles and coloring sheets. (Bring quarters for the kiddie airplane rides). Elevator or stairs makes it easy to move around and can easily accommodate a stroller. The 3 story building is full of planes, exhibits and aviation history. Outside is fenced in so kids can run as much as they want when the weather is nice. Be sure to check out the gift shop for toys and apparel. The staff is always super polite and helpful. Highly recommend.

Cool museum showcasing the history of aviation in Kansas. They have a great collection of aircraft that have not only been flown to and stationed in KS, but also manufactured there. The museum sits on the northwest side of McConnell AFB and you can go up in the old control tower to get a view of the field which is on top of the building which served as the Wichita Airport prior to the new airport being built.

My children did not want to stop exploring the different types of engines on display. Incredible learning experience for youngsters and they also enjoyed the children's hangar for some time before we topped it off watching airplanes takeoff and land from the tower.

The indoor displays were impeccably maintained. The outdoor displays seem to all be slowly rotting away and could use some TLC. I'm sure it's a money issue, but it's still sad to see the condition of some of the outside aircraft. The old terminal is beautiful inside, and the highlight for me was getting to go up in the control tower and being able to look around.

What a wonderful museum. The older kids had a blast even in the \kids\ area. The control tower was a little challenging to get up to but well worth the 3 flights of narrow stairs!!
