I wanted to thank you all for your support and amazing service after my Dad passed away. Even though it had to all be done over the phone and email I still felt very cared for. Please extend my thanks to all staff in the funeral home and also those who supported us on the day of the funeral. I wish you all a lovely Christmas and New Year

Following the sad passing of my Mother, I was recommended to contact S.Carter & Son of Wickford, from the first call I was made to feel at ease as they explained the next steps I needed to take. On making the arrangements I was impressed by the kindness and understanding shown to me and my family. On the day of the funeral the bearers, drivers and cars were immaculate, and everything was carried out with professionalism and dignity. It truly made what was a sad occasion into a comforting tribute to my Mother. My heartfelt thanks go to all at S. Carter & Son.
I highly recommend this Company. They organised my mum's funeral perfectly. Debbie was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable, and nothing was too much trouble. Darren was very professional and patient, as were all the staff we dealt with. Arranging a funeral is so daunting and overwhelming yet after just one phone call I felt so much more at ease, you took care of everything so well. Thank you so much!
Following the sad death of my husband I contacted S Carter to arrange his funeral.Unfortunately this was recently so during this Lockdown situation but it was all arranged in such a professional,caring and supporting way.We were kept informed by video link and they were so helpful in what was a very difficult time.The funeral was carried out in such a caring and dignified way.Thank you all at S Carters
We thought we'd go to a local company for my Dad's funeral. After the initial meeting there was no contact to discuss any questions we had or what we had to do on the day (e.g. Stibbards had the Conductor visit before the funeral, to go through everything which we assumed was standard). So, I called the day before with quite a few questions, was told incorrect information and was actually giggled at about the amount of questions I had. We were told that 'we' would be charged double for the visual tribute even though it was their error for not sending a code in time (which only they can give us), when in fact both the crematorium and the media company confirmed that we would 'not' be charged double, so neither they nor I had any idea why Carters had told us this. Then to top our experience off, they recommended a printing company for the order or service, where after sending back a whole list of errors twice, I had to actually go down there to talk them through some! As I'm sure anyone would agree, this is stress that you do not need on top of everything else. You just assume with the money you pay that any extra stress would be taken away and you would receive a top class service. Sadly, we didn't.
