Fantastic school. The administration is top notch and very involved with each student and their individual needs. I am very happy with my daughters progress and highly recommend wider horizons.

I attended Wider Horizons for two years in the high school program there. The school offers many pros and cons and has the potential to be a really magnificent establishment. The small class sizes are both a blessing and a curse. With some classes being as small as three students, it allows for each student to receive individual care and attention they would not receive in a large High School. However, the disciplinary actions and policies are somewhat unusual and can be problematic. The owner and principal of the school Dr. Magglio is a very intelligent and well accomplishment man. The mentality there however is \my way or the highway\ on many issues, and if you don't agree with them then you're SOL. Definitely not for everyone, but for a select few it has the ability to provide a quality education.

Great school. The Maglios are very on top of things. It's amazing how well behaved all the students are. Pretty much everything is better than the public schools here. The education is top notch while letting the kids be kids.

I am deeply saddened by the lack of efficacy in administration and school polices. I had contacted the school for copies of our daughter’s progress report. A lady named Ms. James had assured me she would send copies right away. That was not the case. After calling for a second time she was extremely rude and ill-mannered. I honestly cannot believe they allow a person to speak to parents that way on the phone. It does not take but a second to Email a progress report.!!!! There are many negative reviews about this school and I would not recommend this school to anyone.

We want to take this opportunity to clear up some questions that have arisen. First of all Wider Horizons School has a registration fee that is non-refundable as it holds the spot for a student. All policies about refunds and fees are clearly stated in the registration paperwork that is signed by the parent. No student is required to read a book the parent finds problematic to their personal views. There are plenty of other books that can be read. The book referenced by a particular parent is actually a classic survival/ educational story. The personal interview between the family and the administration is the opportunity for the administration to see if the student and/or his parents will or will not be a positive addition to the Wider Horizons community determining acceptance to the program. Not every family is accepted. Thank you to all of the WHS families who have described the positive educational program they have experienced with their children.
