What a great time we had on the night tour! We saw plenty of animals, the highlight being a sleeping howler monkey! Our guide was knowledgeable and very passionate about the insects and animals. I would love to do this again!

Awesome We really enjoyed our night hike with Oscar. He was a wealth of knowledge and it's clear he loves what he does and the information be shares. We found a few different snakes and birds and learned a lot about the flora and fauna of Costa Rica. He helped us get great pictures and helped us find things we wanted to see. They picked us up and dropped us off at the end. Friendly, safe, great value. Thank you
Incredible night tour with Jorge. We saw a sloth, porcupine, turkey, and many cool insects. All the guides communicate with each other, so if your guide seems distracted on the phone they're checking with the others for sightings! Our group missed the sloth the first time it was sighted, so our guide chose to wait around and we were able to get some incredible footage and watch its entire descent from the tree! He was also incredible spotting a turkey sleeping high in a tree that looked like nothing from the ground. Amazing.
Very good night tour with Marco. He was very informative and told us loads about animals and plants. We haven’t seen as much animals, no mamals but it was very interesting anyway!
Wish we had more time. It was only a quick visit.
As we went through the night walk looking for animals, my girlfriend and I were convinced we hooked up with the best guide Monteverde has to offer. Will not only took an additional 30 minutes with us, but he also was the main guide finding many of the creatures and posting to WhatsApp for his colleges to show their groups. He said his specialty is birds, but he knew anything we asked him about the forest- plant, animal, insect, weather- it was very informative. We saw two types of toucans, a two toed sloth, howler monkey, two types of frogs, pit viper, leaf cutter ants and their 25 million or so colony, strangling fig trees and more. We were on the fence of booking the tour because we heard it could be hit or miss, but it was WELL worth it and Will made that possible.
I had an absolutely fabulous experience with my guide Will that works for wildlife refuge Monteverde , since this night tours are based on a luck is not just luck is about the guide that you book as well and I got really lucky!!!! His knowledge about ecosystems, wildlife and his eagle eyes of seeing everything I was beyond impressed, I don't know how he does it but he spots a lot of wildlife, you will be really happy leaving this place, request a tour with him and thank me later.
