In-store shopping
Went into this store last weekend with a few of my girlfriends on a girls weekend, and immediately I felt unwelcome in this store. The owner ( I am guessing, she never introduced herself) trialed me throughout this store. At first I thought it was my imagination, however every room I went into she was right there staring in my face. She never said anything to me, but she was watching me the entire time, as if she was waiting on me to steal something. Very uncomfortable. When I return to Merchant Square I will be sure to avoid this place at all cost, places like this do not deserve my hard earned money!

I am in the retail and customer service business and I have to say the signage throughout this store is very off-putting. The minute you walk in there is a sign that states anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The next sign in the stairwell up to the store says "Do not shop lift. We will prosecute." The very next sign in the stair well says "Smile, you are on hidden camera." Once you are in the store, there a signs throughout saying "do not touch" and "do not sit on furniture." It was such an unwelcoming and unfriendly environment and the implication that we are all thieves felt awful from the get go. We will not be back.
Attempted to visit today with my sister and her friend. Off the bat, I was unnerved because of the two signs I see posted regarding stealing customers. We go upstairs and are casually browsing the store. There is a large glass cherry that my sister wanted to take a picture of (because her best friend loves them and thought it would be cool to show her), but immediately after taking the picture we were approached by what I am guessing to be the owner. The woman was extremely rude to us for “taking pictures of the painted artwork” and told us that we “should think about our choices in the store.” After apologizing to the woman profusely, she asked my age and then told us that we all needed to leave the store since none of us were 21 or older and that “We prefer that you be 21 or older to shop in our store or be accompanied by an adult.” (I am a legal adult). We were treated horribly and the signs leading up the stairs makes me wonder if they believe everyone is a thief. Will not be visiting again, even when I am 21. I am now at dinner telling the rest of our family and friends our experience.
Lovely sales woman gave recommendations for a mother's day gift. Store was beautiful, some pricey items but some in our range. Would recommend.
Came here for my birthday it is really pretty and has lots of beautiful things. They take the time to explain the story behind all the things in the store. I will go back next time we're in Williamsburg
High quality products and the store clerk was super knowledgeable and helpful. Great store!
Just today a person at this store, employee or owner I do not know, harassed our 18 year old senior year students out of the store. These 5 students are very well mannered young women. Asked if they were 18 they were not believed when they responded and were recorded with a phone until they left . Absolutely appalling and likely ilegal!
This place sucks employees are sassy and annoying.
