It was fun, more for children but interesting thing to do in the area

I only saw one outdoor employee in the James Fort Replica that was wearing a mask. I witnessed a group of over 10 unmasked visitors gather closely together to hear an unmasked employee speak. Mask wearing is required in the main building but I’m a little confused on their outdoor policy. All the employees on and around the ships were wearing masks. The opposite was true in James Fort

A replica of the ancient village. Very interesting because of the actors, showing the life in those times. Watch the blacksmith at his furnace. Watch the guardsmen loading and exercising their guns and rifles. Walk through the garden and down to the river.

The site of the original Jamestown fort is about a mile away and is also well worth a visit. This replica has buildings that mimic the originals with thatched roofs and all. The best part are the re-enactors who dress in period garb and go about the work they would have done in the 1600s. They are great about chatting and explaining as they go about what they are doing.

If you like history, this is fun. Wish I had more photos to share. This is a replica of the original Jamestown fort. The buildings have thatched roofs. But it would be somewhat dead and boring without the museum staff in period garb. They are doing and talking about the activities people would have done in the 1600s.

It was awesome boarding the two replica ships and seeing the replica Powhatan Village. I got to see an actor blacksmithing nails, and I even got to take a freshly made nail home!

Fantastically rebuilt fort full of different buildings from church to smithery. Guides in costumes are all very helpful, we especially enjoyed musket shooting demonstration! You can really imagine what life looked like here in the past.

Very neat. I loved talking to the "colonists" and walking around inside the fort
