I love these woods. I've been enjoying the beauty of this place since 2000s and it's such a nice and relaxing place. Recently the FPDCC decided that cutting down some of these beautiful tall trees is a good idea. It's very sad. When you look at the map of Illinois these woods are the last patch of green. I understand that they want to restore the tallgrass prairie look, but really! I think people enjoy more the woods than tallgrass. Please stop what you are doing before it is too late. It is one of the last few places in Chicago area where you can still breath somewhat clean air. Thanks for reading.
