The location of the park is difficult for entering as traffic moves quickly past it along LaGrange Road, where the entrance is located half-way between 87th Street and 95th Street. In fact, with the wall now dividing the north and south lanes along that stretch of roadway, it is not possible to enter from the south. Once in the parking lot, there is nothing special other than a path leading to a trail for walking or jogging. There is no pavilion or washroom facilities or park equipment of any type. There are better parks, which are more easily to access in the nearby area.

Beautiful photogenic landscapes, great for hiking. Heavy snow accumulation can make hiking challenging to say the least.

The trails are icy. Wear boots made for ice. Winter here is bleak for sure. We did see a hawk and for sure a kestrel. Great to go for a walk.

A beautiful peaceful day for a walk to the frozen pond.

Nice getaway from the city to walk in nature. There are numerous trails that are far away from the busy roads to enjoy. Cook County has a lot of forest preserves to take advantage of. Looking forward to checking out a few more.

Good start to get into the Palos trails. If you're heading south on LaGrange road this is a good entrance. There's a couple of picnic tables so you could have some lunch, but if you want a place to gather and do some cooking the Willow Springs road entrance is a better choice

Wonderful trails, never super crowded, picnic area next to the parking area with lots of grass to throw a blanket down. Great for walking dogs! Great wildflowers in spring and summer.

Walk and hiking. Very quiet place. Not too many people.
