Good RV Park off Hwy 98, friendly owners, clean and quiet. We stopped on a holiday weekend traveling from Florida. I don't know what's with the crazy reviews on here because it seemed like the people were very nice to us.

Great no fuss, no frills, campground on the river. Good for relaxing, hiking, fishing. Close to Mobile. Owners very friendly, cooperative and helpful. Only negative...Highway 98 is a major truck route with more traffic than I65!

The owner (old man) of this place has no idea how to treat/talk to customers, my family and I didn't feel welcome at all. As soon as we got in we quickly regretted giving this place a single dime due to the way the owner talks to people. I strongly recommend reading the negative reviews of this place before giving this place your business.

I would rate this -10 if possible. These people discriminate against disabled. Yes it is beautiful and well kept. But I am a disabled person who requires a service animal with me at all times, just as one would oxygen tank or a wheel chair. I also live local and heard the owners were not always the nicest people around. So not long alfer the after being hospitalized I really wanted to go and enjoy some nature. I called ahead to speak to them about my dog and after asking if this would be a problem was told yes, they were only allowed in camping areas. I informed them that that was a federal offense and left them open to a law suit. Service dogs, by federal law are allowed ANYWHERE that the public is allowed, no exceptions. But I was not allowed to explain this, as they promptly hung up on. I called back and was sent to an answering machine. They had better learn the law.

I've been on at least ten canoe trips from Escatawpa Hollow in the last 20 years. I'm a high school teacher and many of my trips have been with fifteen or more students. Larry and Janice are wonderful people and they run a top notch facility. We've ALWAYS had a great time. I'll miss them when they retire.
