I am sure it is 5 star if you are in good shape. The kayak/canoe launch was quite a hike from the parking lot. I understand the park will lend you carts to get your kayak to the launch. I only found out by asking someone who was using a cart. I did not see signs anywhere that imparted this information. The actual launch area was really lovely. It was a large sand area with a nice slope for launching.

Met some friends for an afternoon visit, hike, fire, and s'mores...they were passing through from the Keys. Nice trails along a small waterway. We saw a family of deer when we first entered the park. Very nice and calm place to relax and enjoy the wildlife with friends.

Really cool little state park off 301. Costs 5 bucks to get in just in a normal car. Has some nice trails for walking. Has restrooms, places to eat lunch, etc. Also has big camping area. Highly recommend!

Beautiful hiking trails along the river. Boardwalks could use some repair and you may get a little muddy, but it's worth it on this scenic trail. I prefer the trail outside the main park. It's a stacked loop with the inner loop being 3 miles and the outer is 6 miles.

Private park. Needs care and some improvements. the trails need a lot of maintenance and broken boards fixed. looks like they need help forming a volunteer group to help care for the park. The campground in bathrooms are very nice. It's a long walk to the kayak launch which makes it inconvenient. There's no real swimming area for the river besides jumping in at the kayak launch. This park has so much potential! It was a fun trip down the river with Canoe Outpost and definitely worth the fee for the one-way trip and free shuttle back with our own kayaks.
