The Financial Literacy Initiative (FLI) is a national platform to enhance financial education for individuals and MSME in Namibia. The Financial Literacy Initiative (FLI) was initiated by the Ministry of Finance in 2009 with support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The Hon. Minister of Finance, Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila, officially launched the FLI in 2012. The Initiative counts more than 40 platform partners from the Namibian public, private and civil society sector. FLI offers financial education trainings to various target groups in addition to running campaigns to raise awareness about financial literacy (for example roadshows around Namibia, radio & TV shows, social media channels, etc.).
