INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND OF THE INSTITUTE G-Ngube Research Institute of Namibia is a wholly Namibian first ever educational research institution with its Mission of producing qualified, knowledgeable and skilled graduates to meet the needs of both public and private sectors and who are able to foster a better understanding of local and international problems as well as the Vision of being the most leading institute of leaders, the learned professions, the public sector, business and innovation in Namibia and beyond, and its known for its Moto of being the Centre of Active Students. The institute was established on the 5th July 2016 with its Main Campus based in Windhoek, Namibia located in 41 Pasteur Street, Windhoek-West. The institute it’s offering educational courses such as Research in Business and Commerce, IT, Education, Nursing, Law, Engineering, Agriculture and Humanity. Its establishment to a great extent, was derived from the vision 2030, which identifies Education, Science and Technology as core driving forces in achieving national goals. The institute was started well aware of the current challenges and opportunities facing tertiary education globally. The need for researchers it’s very high especially in a Namibian market and this is a gap of which we need to fill in order to come up with amicable solutions to problems in our societies which are hindering us from development. ACHIEVEMENT The college has so far awarded 11 full bursaries to the Namibian youth in IT Short Courses such as Computer Technician (A+), Network Technician (N+), System Administration, SISCO CCNA 1-6 and IT Security for year 2016/7 which was officially announced on the 12th September 2016 by the chairman of National Youth Council of Namibia Mr. Mandela Kapere at the Katutura Multi-Purpose Youth Centre in Windhoek, Namibia. The total bursary amount in those five courses which will run for 6 months was N$ 124,5700.
