WHO WE ARE NAMPOA is a not-for-profit association formally established in 1992 in Windhoek, Namibia, after the first licensing round of the Ministry of Mines and Energy. WHAT WE DO • Create a platform for formal and informal discussions on issues affecting the petroleum industry, • Information exchange between Petroleum Exploration License (PEL) Operators to optimize exploration programs, and • Liaising with the Namibian Government on issues affecting the interests of NAMPOA members. MEMBERSHIP The NAMPOA management team aims to ensure that every operator of a PEL becomes a member of the association. The membership is open to all PEL Operators both in the onshore and offshore areas of Namibia. Non-operating companies are also welcome to join as Associate Members.
