The current rating of this place is impressive. I assume it’s somewhere between “you don’t know what you don’t know”, and Stockholm syndrome. The food is categorically not worth 14. Even if you ate 4-6 plates, which by the looks, many do. Hungry Jack mashed potatoes, Hamburger Helper pasta (casserole as known around these parts), white gravy that is 90% bleached flour, chicken fried mystery meat, and grey colored mystery pot roast. The Oreo dessert was 98% Cool Whip. Most do not have a reason to be in Windom TX, and I advise anyone to keep driving to find food that won’t cause early onset metabolic syndrome or diarrhea. Most of the clientele are old. Unless you’ve already given up, don’t eat here. Soft serve ice cream or the cobbler is a solid bet. If you can’t make it to a Jason’s Deli, it’s the only recommended items.

Great local dining experience with modest but wholesome buffet choices. All you can eat or drink, including both a salad and a dessert bar which includes soft serve ice cream. Vegetable choices were limited to corn on the cob or baked potatoes the day I visited with several meat and fish dishes and rolls or corn muffins. Very good home-style cooking.

There Sunday lunch buffet is great ! It's has a wide variety of home cooking dishes to choose from. There Friday and Saturday night buffet hasn't been that great lately though. There use to be several meat dishes to choose from but the last several months it's been more veggies then meat.

The catfish and other fried foods were good. I would go back just for the frog legs. They were the best I've had. Atmosphere and hospitality were on point. Boiled shrimp definitely needs attention. Either overcooked or old. Definitely wasn't eatable and I'm not a picky eater. Salad bar was excellent. Overall a decent experience.

Really good small-town restaurant serving American food buffet style. Staff was super friendly. Food was great. Restaurant and bathrooms are clean and in good repair. Restaurant is on the main Street in the little town of Windom. The scenery and the drive are very much worth a day trip. Highly recommend.
