Quiet place away from the Ojibway park crowds. Mix of prairie grass lands and new growth forest. Great bike trail on the south side of the park. Detroit river across on the north side of the park. Occasionally you'll see deer and snakes. Nice fenced in dog park at the entrance. Bridge construction and time of day might limit park access sometimes. Theres only 1 access point to the park now.

One of the last remnants of coastal park we have in this area. The mayor acts like he cares about this and the surrounding land but he won't close matchette road and expand the prairie complex. We could launch and initiative to create an even larger forest but money is far more important than preserving and expanding our tiny spec of what the land used to look like. Now it's a barren wasteland of farm fields and industrial buildings.

Unique hike. Some nice mountain biking trails as well. Nothing crazy but very enjoyable.

Great trails. More trail markers would make it 5 stars
