I find shopping here to be a bit of a step back in time and often make this weekend excursion. This is a menonite owned business, but many refer to it as an Amish store. This week I was looking for a wall mount for an antique oil lamp. When I did not see what I was looking for on the shelves, I asked the owner, Neal Miller. He happily went to the loft to find it. Upon returning, he assembled the bracket and bagged the mounting parts to ensure they would not be separated. I was pleasantly surprised with a customer appreciation days discount and decided to spend a bit more having found a stainless steel popcorn popper to replace my aluminum one. This is a great place to purchase spices, backing ingredients, and cookware that does not contain chemicals, but is built for a lifetime of service. They also offer great prices on local I season produce and have traditional candies and jams. Just remember, they are off the grid so it can be a bit dark on cloudy days, and remember to bring cash or a checkbook.
