Such a beautiful building! As a wedding photographer this building is beautiful to photograph. Lots of options with the courtyard, balcony, ballroom and White Room (my favourite). The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. My couple, especially the bride were overly happy with this venue. Looking forward to coming back here again.

WARNING! DO NOT BOOK WITH WATERS EDGE DURING COVID! THEY WILL CHARGE YOU 3000 TO CANCEL. My now wife and I had booked our wedding with Waters Edge prior to Covid. When we realized we would not be able to have the wedding we had agreed on due to Covid restrictions, we decided to cancel. That's when Dana went from nice to nightmare to deal with. We had already paid the venue rental and the pouring fee close to 4500. When we expressed our wish to cancel (almost a year before our wedding date) we were expecting to maybe lose the 1750 venue rental, but were hoping that given the circumstances we would be refunded the full amount. Instead Dana sent us an invoice stating we owe her 750. Needless to say we were shocked and upset. Dana explained she would do us a \curtesy\ by waiving the pouring fee, while taking our 1750 venue rental, and adding a 3000 cancellation fee. The contract did state that there is a 3000 cancellation fee, but that should not be in addition to the venue rental. Also the contract we signed was to have 150 people at the wedding, which she was not able to uphold. She want us to follow the rules of the contract, but cannot honor them herself. After weeks of back of fourth, and a lot of worry and stress, we agreed to pay her 2000 and the remaining money was returned to us. So she ends up with 2000 from a young family during a pandemic for meeting with us twice, and answering a couple emails. We also found out that she had been in contact with our wedding photographer and caterer (which she lied to us about) to find out if we were having a wedding elsewhere, to use that information against us. Very shady. Moral of the story, proceed with caution with Dana and Waters Edge During these uncertain times they will not be on your side if your plans need to change. She has been doing this to several couples that we know of, and will continue to do so.

I got married here a few weeks ago in the White Room. I did all preparations remotely, as I was visiting from out of town. No one had seen the venue until the day of the wedding. A lot of things were done by my friends and family, from music to decor. And it was only possible because Dana and Karen were extremely helpful with my requests for sharing venue photos, videos, plans etc. I have made endless calls to them to organize things and they were very helpful. The venue was beautiful inside and outside. The day of the event passed pretty flawlessly. I did not hear any complaints from my friends or family when they were setting up for the wedding either. I am pretty happy with how everything turned out.

Larry, Karen and the entire team at Water's Edge are an amazing crew. They offered to help us with fundraising efforts for our church rebuilding and were an excellent team to work with. They are professional, go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and accommodate any of your needs. The venue itself is stunning, breathtaking, there is none like it in the Windsor/Essex County region. The architecture and design is absolutely beautiful. The facility is over a hundred years old but very well maintained, updated and accessible for all. I cannot say enough about Water's Edge Event Centre, their team and their generosity. I highly recommend holding any event here!
