You must go here if you are visiting the region. They have the best wine and the friendliest staff. A great place to meet with friends new and old, with a cozy ambience and thoughtful art exhibited on their walls. Highly recommended!

Really love this place. This is our second visit to Saumur and we love it all, but do love to finish a day at this bar. There's always a friendly, informal but professional atmosphere. The wine and beers are always good and reasonably priced, the staff always friendly and it's at a great location (often lively) along the river. The sweet rosé is delicious. Thanks guys.
Very good list of wine and beer. We enjoyed the meat and cheese platter. Nice to sit outside on the square a sunny day.
Fun atmosphere and a nice selection of natural wines. The place becomes very busy around dinner time. You can get by with English but the wait staff during busy times will be a bit perturbed, so bring some French with you. They also have a wine store, but it closes early so if you want off sale make sure to get there in the morning they open at 9am. Also it is an easy walk uphill to see the Château at night. You'll have the place practically to yourself.
Just arrived in Saumur when most places are closing after lunch. Great outside position and staff extremely helpful with English spoken. Amazing glass of fizzy wine and small board of cheese. Enough bread for five people all for little old me. Cheese board huge for being small. Lovely find and more than reasonably priced.
