My husband and I had the best time on our day trip to North Burgundy with Luiz. He was so knowledgeable and gracious as our tour guide, and you can really tell how much he loves wine! We enjoyed visiting the small, family-run wineries and shared great conversation and food with the two other couples in our tour group (and of course, Luiz). We can’t wait to do another tour the next time we are in Paris!!

Tours of a lifetime and worth every penny! I began with the Champagne trip first and then Northern Burgundy tour the day after. Luiz was more than a tour guide on both trips, he ended up becoming a friend, which was an awesome bonus since I was traveling without friends or family from the states. I have told almost everyone I know to go on his tours - even my friends who live in France! His tours were planned perfectly to enjoy wine theory, wine history, site seeing, and culture in an intimate environment. Luiz was such a fantastic guide and he is BEYOND qualified to discuss wine and he knew the BEST wineries to go to - bonus (for us nerds) we got to meet some Wine Makers through his connections! His accolades are quite impressive and his English is fantastic. No complaints as I was blown away! SO happy I spent two days sightseeing, drinking and laughing!
Luis was by far one of the best tour guides we have ever experienced. He was not only knowledgeable, but extremely personable. HE is one of those people that after 5 minute with him , you feel like you have know him forever . His spoke English better than i do ! Have recommended to a few friends traveling to Paris
I had an amazing time on a tour to Champagne region. Going via Reims we first visited an beautiful church then went onto the first winery. There we had a full tour concluding with a tasting. We then continued to a restaurant in a village nearby where we had an extensive tasting paired with foods. Then going onto another winery for an extensive tour and tasting. Luiz passed on his knowledge of the wines, their shared histories and of the area in a very thorough yet easy to understand manner. Also, making sure to add his own personal touches, going via the Dom Perignon estate was a treat. I hope I get the opportunity to go on another tour again soon with Luiz.
Luis had our small group, including my daughter and I, walking for an easy brief time through the beautiful quaint streets of Paris, a vantage point not often seen by other tours which we enjoyed. We shopped for our cheese and wine, learning and highly anticipating official tasting. The wine was fabulous each bottle bringing a new history and understanding of the French wine-making rules and high standards. The talking, laughing and opportunity to ask questions allowed us to soak it all up. We could have all gone on another couple of hours; good wine and enlightening experiences have a way of uniting and relaxing all who engage. Thoroughly enjoyed!
Wow! What a day! Wine Tours Paris, and our incredible sommelier/guide/driver Luiz, are first class. From pick up to drop off, and all points in between, our day trip to Burgundy did not disappoint. The cheese bread in Chablis was delicious. The first vineyards in Chablis were beautiful. Lunch... bread, wine and cheese in Coulanges was spectacular, finished with the best ice cream we have ever eaten. But the highlight of the day was our time with the hilarious Jean-Pierre in Irancy where we were plied with 8 different tastings. We will be telling everyone we know who is coming to Paris to take this trip with Luiz and WTP. Can’t recommend highly enough!
My girlfriends and I did the Burgundy Wine Tour and loved it! So much history, amazing people and wine. Luiz was a great guide and really took special care to explain the history, the wine, the cheese pairings and he was a joy to be around. The wine tour was my favorite part about visiting Paris for the first time. I can't wait to return and do the Champagne tour next!
This was an awesome experience! Luiz was very knowledgeable and friendly. The wineries ranged from prestigious well known to small intimate local shops. We toured the countryside, walked around small towns, and enjoyed a wine tasting in a 12th century cellar. Great conversation, beautiful scenery, delicious food, and fabulous wines. We booked on their website and it was cheaper and easier. This is a must do while in Paris if you want to get away from the crowds and love wines.
