To get to the mine it’s 55 miles from winnemucca 10-12 miles paved than gravel buts it’s easily driveable. Take hwy 95 than left at jungo road right after the bridge from 95 as well Shown as State hwy 49 on google maps just follow that it will take you straight into hycroft mine google might show you some other ways to get there but this is the one everyone use. Hope that would be enough helpful for someone new going down there and Verizon network is available there, But no signals for at&t.

Bit of an odd tale. I was heading to Black Rock desert and decided to take an alternate route instead of the I80. I ended up getting a flat and saw on my atlas that there was a mine nearby. My spare tire was a tiny city-spare and was not appropriate on the road I was on. Since I was such a terrible road, I thought that the mine might have their own tire shop. I drove a short distance on my leaking tire to the entrance of the mine. No one was around so I just hung around the entrance hoping for someone to come out. I put my SUV on the jack and took off the flat tire. I am in a wheelchair, so it must be odd to see me in the middle of nowhere switching my tires. Eventually a big service vehicle was leaving the mining camp. They asked if I needed help and I explained my situation. They saw my tiny spare tire and agreed it was not appropriate for the road I was on. The two guys went back into the camp and properly patched my tire. While I was waiting for the repairs, every truck that came and went stopped to ask if I was ok and if I needed any water. My tire was returned and they gave me their phone numbers as there was a little bit of reception in the area. They told me that I could call them if I got another flat and that they would come help me. I was a long way from home (Canada), and I really appreciated the help. Cheer's!
