Went there just to learn what that okonomiyaki food was all about (and why Ranma liked it so much), and now I understand: it was delicious! I almost wish he would end up with Ukyo. The service was very attentive, and the food takes a bit to be prepared, but that is because the menu is composed of food that is made on the spot, arriving to your table as freshly made and warm as it can be, so just be patient... It is worth the wait! The portions, as you can see in the pictures, are quite big, so we didn't order dessert, but saw other people having some yummy looking shakes and ice cream. The menu is VERY extensive, so multiple visits are in order.

An incredibly interesting, cute, and quaint little place. Don't let the name mislead you, its very much a Japanese restaurant! From having lived in Japan, I've often missed certain dishes that most restaurants here simply don't serve. Dwarf has a variety of these dishes! Definitely worth checking out if you've never been!

Very adorable atmosphere. Friendly staff. Delicious Japanese food, which outside of sushi can be hard to find in the city. Kawaii style desserts and drinks made to make you smile. You can tell the staff really cares. Wait time can be slower than similar restaurants for food as they don't have a very large staff but the food is worth it and always comes out fresh. Great for take out, especially the Onigiri, but I do recommend stopping in for the cute drinks and atmosphere. Also they play Ghibli soundtracks in the restaurant which is wonderful and magical, really adds to the atmosphere.

Culinary adventure in St Boniface. Unique and delicious menu that is a fusion of eastern and western traditions. Be prepared for new and exciting flavors. Portions are very large, so order accordingly. Desserts are fun and beautiful! Recommend.

Stopped in Winnipeg for one quick night and picked Dwarf no Cachette for dinner because of the rave reviews. While the menu is overwhelming, it made me want to order literally everything. We ordered delivery via skip the dishes so this review is just on the food, which was super duper quick. Got to us within 40 minutes. Of everything the ramen was the absolute best. Super delicious and plenty of stuff to add into the soup. It was a little difficult to eat as a takeaway because we had no way to combine the broth and the noodles, the broth container was full to the max, and obviously you don’t want to dump the broth into a cardboard box. With no bowl to mix the two, improvisation occurred, which is fine of course.. just annoying. I’d hope the udon was going to be a bit saucier, not that there was no flavor, but I was there for the noodles as the main event, and wanted more. The croquettes were super delicious, nice and fluffy and light. The Dango were very, very plain. While plain Dango is expected to be.. plain. I’d go for a flavored one next time because this was just a bit disappointing. Overall super happy with the choice to order from here. Maybe would have done some more research to figure out what their real winners are, but I ended the night full and happy, for not too much of a cost.

The bento box offer is too delicious to give up, wish it was an all-day options. Yes, it's that good. Soup combined with chicken katsu is to die for.

Cute place, great location. Service could be faster and more attentive, but they are knowledgeable. Lots of carb-heavy and/or fried foods - not a lot of healthy options on the menu. We also sampled the black sesame cheesecake which not only didn't taste remotely like black sesame, but had also unfortunately picked up other flavours from the cooler :( Overall, a good experience, but there are other places I'd return to before coming back here.
