Love this pool. It’s warm and smaller. Easy to watch all your kids swimming while in different groups.

Do you wanna relax? This is a good place for you, not crowded...
I love that this pool is available in my neighborhood. It is an old facility but it is adequate. There are 2 private family change rooms, should you happen to be a father bringing a young daughter (or vice-versa.) The lockers require a quarter, but it is returned. There are some bleachers and seats with tables that overlook the pool which is one serious advantage over bringing your kids to the much newer Cindy Klassen facility where you have to sit poolside, freezing, on what I assume are air conditioning vents.
It’s a beautiful pool with very caring people who work and volunteer there! A 1
Small and outdated. 2 small change rooms. Free swim the day we were there. Kind front desk staff. Mean life guard. Aquafit and lane swim taking up 3/4 of pool with only 6 ppl doing it, while 25 of us were elbow to elbow in shallow end. Wont be back.
Great pool. Friendly staff, not as busy as other pools in the city, so easy to get into lessons, etc. Clean and feels safe.
Plus.. Decent pool. Well maintained. Free street parking. Evenings mostly free. Minus.. Small pool. Too many programs same time. Kids are not getting sufficient place.training lane for red cross level 5 kids are about 60% of 2 lanes. congested.
Like many other Winnipeg indoor pools, this place needs a sauna or steam room. With our frigid winters, who would want to swim when its cold out? Its not a logical correlation. By installing a sauna it would draw in so many more adults. The Pan Am pool is the worst example of this. Fantastic aquatic facility with no sauna. Its inconceivable in other cities. The fact is many non-swimmers will come just for the sauna because it feels so great, especially in the middle of winter! Its -28 as i write this....do I feel like jumping into a cool pool? I think not! And I love swimming! Would I like to bask in a sauna first, THEN jump into a cool pool? You bet! They spend millions on a questionable renovation (we all know this place will suck enormous amounts of money out of the city) and don't think to install a sauna. Unbelievable. I've gone by many times and usually its almost empty. What a colossal waste of taxpayer's money. Welcome to left wing Winnipeg where a few pay for the majority.
