Good food, fast & friendly service, iconic burger joint experience in the heart of Winnipeg. Came during via rail train so only in Winnipeg for one hour. Could not have agreed for a better take out dining experience, the burgers are succulent, pickle friendly and the vj special is a moist must. Fries must be eaten fresh since they are served in a paper bag. Chocolate milk shake was a thick decadent banging bar, would recommend to everyone. Service was so friendly, I would come back to Winnipeg just for this place.

Cheeseburger had very little chili on it so our burgers were dry. Fries are just okay....way too many. Expensive. Much better fat boys and cheeseburgers out there. Havent been in years and we wont be back.

Hours: Closes 9:45pm everyday. Menu: Prices have changed. I submitted a picture. Beware, the hand written menu is accurate; the old signs with prices since changed. Service: In the past sure they have taken my order after they closed and worked what must be over 13 hours as regulars were stuck in line on a busy night. Recently, I showed up at 10pm, but they close 9:45. Google has the hours wrong so please submit updates in case they don't believe me. They work very hard 7 days a week over 12 hours every day for months. Quality: The prices have changed as they have kept a great burger. VJ's special is the burger to get if you only go once. I'm all for healthy, but this is traditional beef burgers. A big plus though, No artificial ingredients, and no sugar added in to everything; there is real beef, classic buns, lettuce, onions, pickles...the works. And they are juicy with fresh produce and a rich broad flavour.
Bit of a wait but totally worth it! Had the VJ's special. The staff were super friendly and the order taker took our order without writing anything down. Impressive! Place is cash only.
