Over the last few years, I consulted several attorneys regarding an assignment of lifetime alimony. The first said to just live with it and another stated that I may end up paying even more each month. My final consultation resulted in handing over a 100 consultation fee, only to hear the attorney shout to her partner that she was ahead. She informed me that they have a running bet as to who collects the most fees each week. She then quoted a retainer fee with no explanation of what it was to cover, but made sure that I understood that was only an initial fee and would likely increase. No thanks. Fortunately, a friend of my wife recommended Corrie’s office. Quite a different experience. Corrie and her Legal Assistant, Angie, took the time to listen. UP ON THE ROOF IN NEW YORK CITY

Corrie was hired for my friend who needed a lawyer to mark up a will and power of attorney. When contacted to make adjustments, she had ignored communication. She insisted on being paid BEFORE she even did the work by VENMO. The document that she gave my friend was not even tailored to his situation for she had mentioned in the will that money in will for for kids, while my friend has NO KIDS. She is all about money and makes no effort to do a good job. Perhaps, she is not smart enough to be a lawyer. Corrie insists on money paid first, then she will do the work. Unfortunately, after trying to get her to correct what she marked up, she ignores you. Corrie Grahm is a good example of take the money and run!
