We have taken our dogs to Dr. Wickersham for 15 years, having recently put one dog to eternal rest. Dr. Wickersham and his crew have provided nothing but expert and compassionate care. This was especially true as we approached the end of life for our dog. He was incredibly skilled, tactful and comforting. At other times and with other needs he was also very accommodating and mindful to help us reduce costs. We couldn't imagine taking our animals anywhere else.

Dr. Wickersham and his staff are wonderful compassionate people. I have been bringing my animals to him for 23 years. 6 dogs and 3 cats over the years. Would never consider going anywhere else!
Dr Wickersham and his staff were life savers. We were in from out of town and our Shihtzu developed a foot and ear infection. We called 30 minutes before they closed for weekend and they told us to come after hearing our dogs symptoms. Thank goodness they kept their doors open to us . Absent Dr Wickersham’s outstanding and compassionate care our poor little guy would have needlessly suffered all weekend. We wish we lived up North full time , because we found a real Veterinarian!!! Thank you Dr Wickersham and staff Dash and my family appreciate all your care!
Don't use this place for a nail clipping. I called to ask pricing and they told me 25 to clip some nails. Holy wow. Everywhere else in Rapids is between 9 and 15 to clip nails. 2 minute job for 25 that's beyond crazy.
After 9 years of bringing my rescue shih-tzu there, and doing everything they recommended my dog is near the end of her life. She ran out of her heart medicine. She is deaf and almost blind. They would not give me 2 days worth of heart pills so I could have time to think about and plan what I feel she needs for a comfortable end of life. They insisted she come in for an examine. Because they are all about the money. Luckily there are other vets in the area that care about your pet. Is this why they have had a high turn over of vets in this office? They should be ashamed. And before they start having all their "happy" customers add posts to this. Remember THIS WAS THE FIRST REVIEW THEY HAD.
Vet cancelled my appointment without any explanation as to why they would do that. They took my number down wrong so I received a letter in the mail stating this and when I called asking for an explanation, I was hung up on. I would not advise anyone to take their pet here as I do not know what kind of business they run.
Dr. Wickersham is a consumate professional who is down-to-earth and easy to talk to. He is understanding of your concerns and offers insights and explanations. He understands the importance of our pets to our families. His staff are friendly, outstanding, and they follow-up promptly. Great facilities as well. I whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Wickersham and his staff.
