Bought 2 chairs, a table and stool with Zeitraum. Didn't really know the brand but was attracted by its sustainable goals. Also couldn't find any other company doing solid wood furniture with a contemporary approach matching our modern interiors. They are real standout pieces in our home which regularly earn compliments. I think they are amazing value for being made in Germany and made of solid wood.

While refurbishing our home we decided to buy a number of items from Zeitraum - two wardrobes, two tables, and assorted smaller pieces. While they all look good, it was quickly apparent that they were poorly made and using inferior materials and craftsmanship. The wardrobes arrived with chips and cracks in the work. The hinges scrapes the drawers and could barely open. The solid oak table leg cracked in the first week of use. Pictures below. When we spoke to staff and their representatives about these issues they were shockingly unhelpful and rude. At every turn they were obstructive, denying responsiblity and refusing to help. Their standard response was to accuse us of damaging the items and trying to scam them. They were shameless. It was only when we pointed out our legal rights that they relented and, even then, dragged their feet at every turn. Unlike the staff-posted reviews saying great things about the company, I was an actual customer. I spent my own money on many pieces of furniture both big and small. They are poorly made and entirely unsupported. I would strongly discourage everyone from buying anything from Zeitraum. The world is full of incredible companies making beautiful, exciting, well-made things. Please spend your money with those companies! Update! I've now given away, returned or sold all my Zeitraum furniture (save for the Hide & Park, which is nice). While getting rid of it I had a chance to see how it was made more closely and it's hilariously bad. For example, they screw table leg assemblies directly into the wood without threaded metal inserts. It's the cheaper, and lower-quality, way to make furniture. If that wasn't enough, the screws were mis-aligned and in one case the head was stripped. Incompetence at every turn.
Poor quality and horrific service. The staff are incredibly rude and will do nothing to help you when their badly made products fail.
