I can't recommend Matthew too highly. Over the course of two sessions, he has tuned my long-neglected 1930s Priestley upright beautifully, replaced the felts and, with brilliant detective work, tracked down the cause and corrected what was causing the damper pedal to be extremely noisy. Plus, he is a knowledgeable musician in his own right which I think contributes enormously to his sensitivity and judgment in working with the instrument. An outstanding craftsman -- I feel lucky that he is here in my area.
