Blue Crab Fitness is a uniquely outstanding fitness center, plain and simple. Rick and Lura have created a gym where everyone belongs and they are welcoming to folks of all backgrounds from zero exposure to fitness routines and those with a lifetime of experience. When you join you are embraced into a community and you’ll find yourself having fun and making lots of new friends. Coaches ensure that technique and form are foundational to every workout correcting poor posture and helping to ensure members health and well being are prioritized across the broad range of movements performed. There is excellent camaraderie amongst the members during any workout making even the most challenging of workouts fun. This is not a meathead gym. Even if you have reservations on joining a gym you’ll not regret trying this fitness center out as it’s truly one of a kind.

The coaches are all very friendly and professional and push you to help accomplish any goal you have while creating a positive collaborative environment. If you are a novice, they do a great job helping you start out and will correct your form to make sure all movement are correct. I can’t thank them for my personal success today!

I am very grateful that Blue Crab came to our community several years ago. I’ve never been really good at working out on my own. I was a little intimidated about trying it because I was 55 years old at the time and I know that the work outs can be intense. What I’ve found is an excellent community of people that want to encourage you where ever you are in your abilities. I’m 58 now, not the youngest guy there (maybe the oldest) but I recognize that I’m either working toward good conditioning or I’m moving away from it. Blue Crab is always focused on my health first...not competition. It’s a perfect fit for me.

I moved to the area from Hanover- switching from Grounded CF to BCF. The box is great. They host classes all throughout the day, they also started hosting "Burn" classes. These ones are a little shorter than a normal CF class, high intensity and fun. They stayed open throughout most of the pandemic (as soon as the governor opened up), followed protocols and kept a clean/safe environment. The owners Lura and Rick are amazing, super personable, community-oriented, and really involved. They hosted a number of social activities and fund raisers to help businesses and the community. Lura even helped me come up with new goals to keep me on track and provide accountability when the pandemic threw my schedule off. The coaches are great- upbeat and motivational. They don't over-coach to push you out of your comfort zone, but definitely push you or will help scale the exercises so they can literally work for anyone. Definitely recommend- all day!
