My son had unmeasurablely high levels of IG-E to peanuts and was class 4 for eggs, which we discovered when he was one year old and struggling with eczema and GI distress. We lived in constant fear of exposure for several years. Halloween and Easter were much different in our household compared to most. My wife and I cried every time we read about a teenager who died of a food allergy. But recently my son completed OIT for both eggs after spending about a year doing it for peanuts through Allergy and Asthma Center of MN. We are so grateful to Dr McMahon and Asleigh for offering this program. They are both very knowledgeable and we trust them both. It was a huge time commitment, but this was the first year where we could make whatever Christmas cookies we wanted. We would have never have thought that he would be eating 12 pancakes a day this time last year. Thank you. Highly recommend getting on their waitlist and doing their OIT program if you have a food allergy.
